I'm doing a black (with white LED) build.

I've already got a Corsair 600t black case but Im' looking to upgrade to ivybrige cpu and setup.

Are there any black coloured mobos or very dark mobo's going? If so what's a good one to get brand wise?

Sulid has done the deed for me with a spec list but I'm looking at it just wanting to check tio see if there are any other colours available.

You could get the Z77 Sabertooth or the ASRock Extreme Range.

I wanted to go for the Z77 Extreme 9 but that is not out yet, I made a thread but had no response from Overclokers when they'll get stock.

The Asus Sabretooth is the obvious option - you can even cover the unused sockets with black protectors.

I have this board and it's awesome.

can you expand a bit fella? What other stuff have you in it...cpu ram etc?

Sounds like a thing to explore further :)

That mobo looks amazing...what's the clearance like for either big air or a h100 cooler? Don't know the measurments of it so a bit worried that there might be a lack of clearance with such a deep board.

I'm using a Gelid Tranquillo air cooler which is 16cm from top to bottom and that fits easily into my Fractal Design Define R3 case. The "Thermal Armour" does get in the way slightly when fitting a cooler, but it's not too much of a hassle. If you get a low profile RAM like the Samsung Green then I see no reason why you couldn't fit even a Noctua D14.

The only thing that concerns me about the Sabertooth is the 50mm MB fans. when these were fitted to older boards they used to whine like a jet taking off. I know these are optional but I'm concerned about heat build up whithout them.

The fans are audible but only barely. You can set a separate fan profile for them in the BIOS.

Using the Asus AI suite II you can set them to low speed and they are almost silent. You can only really hear them when they are in turbo mode.

The Asrock PCB's are brown but the heatsinks etc are a really nice black silver and gold combo that looks really nice. My build is fully black looks really nice :p
