***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

That has to be the worst site I've ever seen.. they gush about every phone and user comments hardly differ..

It's just a cheap marketing vehicle to get hits I think, be super positive about every phone, people will be super impressed and click on the affiliate links!

Indeed. That isn't a real review. It's a 'guessed' review based on the specs of the phone in order to generate hits.

Absolute rubbish.

The thing that pains me most is that I was counting on this being my next phone... then I see the shiny blue thing and... urgh. Part of me dies inside.

The best possible outcome of this is Samsung get hurt by that crappy decision, and start taking themselves seriously. I'm no Apple fan, but I respect them enough to know Jobs wouldn't have allowed something like that aweful blue thing out into the wild.

However, I reserve the right to retract my comment when I actually hold it in a month's time :D

Edit: Another thing... I wish Samsung would stop trying to create a brand that just simply isn't "them". All this nature stuff? Gimme a break. Samsung should be clean, functional, value, and well spec'd. I don't care about all these gimmicky one-off "S-features". When OEMs add too many features of their own it defeats the purpose of wanting an android based phone.

Samsung's design is confusing as hell. S1 had plastic back with weird effect, on S2 they added some texture stuff that I didn't mind and now on S3 they've gone to shiny plastic which I thought they moved away from since the S2.

So confusing now. Might not bother to call Abbey at CPW back just yet.

It's like a Galaxy S 1/Galaxy Ace hybrid if anything.

hope there's a choice of 3rd party back covers - luckily the whole thing comes off.

I've read loads of posts on loads of different forums and loads of comparisons/comments on loads of different websites.

Only places One X lacks in is battery, which won't be an issue as i can charge it every night and no SD slot. But....

I'll never need more than 32GB.

Put that with it being almost £10 cheaper on contract....

Decision officially made.

That blue colour is absolutely ******* horrible! And white ...

Why can't they just have a black option as well like NORMAL PEOPLE!!

I want to get this phone but no way am I carrying something around in either of those colours!! What a great way to alienate your buying market!!

Get a back and flap cover in the colour of your choice, you'll wana protect the big screen anyway.

I think I've started to decipher the design elements. The back way inspired by the Palm Pre, the sides and contours are from the original Desire/Nexus and the front is a mishmash of the Galaxy Nexus and some other Samsung phones.
This phone is multi-cultural... or mixed race.

I don't think they are trying to force people to buy the white.

However, I do think they want to differentiate it from the numerous black Galaxy devices out there at the moment. i9000, i9100 and i9250 are the most popular ones at the moment.

I've changed my mind a bit, not really sure what to get now.

I was hoping for a feature that when you pointed the camera at things you could see through fabric and at a stretch brick walls. This would have been more practical than the eye tracking feature. Research money wasted IMO.

:(

CPW won't be getting any in stores until the 30th but I did also see the black One X in person just now and it looks much much better than the white one and the nipple camera extension is visually less obvious on the black one too.

I'm still sold on the S3 though but should anything change up until the 30th...yeah :p I've also got confirmation on getting accessories in for whatever phone to review so stay tuned on that front :p

Bah, you have no taste either! I do agree it hides the camera better though indeed. :p

It's not actually black though, it's grey. Are black phones a thing of the past?
