Thanks for calling me an immoral piece of **** with zero empathy. That might hurt except for the fact you don't have a clue what you're talking about and are clearly an unsavoury character due to expressing the desire to torture a man to death.
No-one in their right mind beats up an old lady like that. Either a) he was high on some kind of drugs or b) he has a mental problem, possibly stemming from a screwed up childhood.
There are things called 'human rights'. He's human, so he has them. That's how it works, and that's a symbol of human moral and social progress. I'll echo your comment by making one of my own: "anyone who disagrees with this is a dangerous individual with a lack of empathy or respect for basic morality, or understanding of how a mature and progressive society actually deals with criminals".

1) I wouldnt torture him. As I said hungry carnivorous animals are capable of doing that just fine as well as ending his life. And the animals get fed!
2) No one who does something like this deserves my sympathy for anything. Lots of people have mental problems, that doesnt cause them to do something like this.
3) A 'human' wouldnt beat a 94 old woman up this badly while she slept, no matter how great a lack of morality they have. Such a persons 'human rights' should be stripped the minute they are found guilty of such a crime with 100% conclusive proof beyond any shadow of doubt.
Lions and sharks need food for survival. People like whoever carried out this crime are a good source of nutrition for them.

It is true that torture achieves nothing in circumstances such as this. I think these kind of people should just be removed from society as quickly as possible, whether it be by death or preferably life in prison, if it was actually life in prison which it is in the US.

Agreed, although we certainly shouldn't be looking to emulate the failed US justice system, we're doing far, far better than them.
We need a scientifically sound prison system, not one where the Daily Mail has a say. People should go into prison for a minimum sentence but not leave until they are literate, and suitable to join society. If they cannot then it's probably cheaper to have them in prison than back out again committing crimes.

If whoever did this doesnt spend the rest of their life behind bars / somehow manages to get out, I would hope their next victim is a close relative of yours so you can experience what this woman and her family must be going through.
The criminal in this case is not suitable to live in any human society, and no amount of rehabilitation will fix that.
