Sorry, but as ignorant as it may sound... an eye for an eye in these sort of cases. Anyone who would do this should forfeit all human rights and should be placed into a locked room with relatives who are wielding baseball bats. Or at the very least, should be isolated from society for the rest of their lives - there's no guarantee they won't do the same again.

I just can't make myself agree with the rehabilitation brigade, no matter how hard I try. Any human with an ounce of decency or the capacity to help themselves should never have got into the situation where they would have committed such a sick act in the first place.

No, I wouldn't. If it was my gran I can't imagine how furious I'd be. If I got hold of the person I'd likely tear them apart, literally. I'm not small, and I do have a temper. It'd feel right and people I think might sympathise.

However it wouldn't be right and I'd end up in jail I would expect.

I think you'd probably get away with circumstances of diminished responsibility in all honesty. Any sane jury would see that you "saw red" and had little control over your primal instincts.

Ofc it would be right to tear them apart. How can it not be?

And the sad thing is, if this were to actually happen, you would probably get a longer jail sentence than them. Such as the way this country works.

It is the same thing to a lot of people because the first thing we imagine is 'What if that happened to my Grandma'.

I.E. Human empathy, something which you really lack.
