Juts picked up a 1998 1.8 model with 88k miles in silver for £400, the owner was going to scrap it!

Failed the MOT as it needs some welding on the sills and the power steering fluid is leaking (had a new pipe fitted but still a problem) Apart from that though seems a solid car. Forgot how nice these are to drive, the last one I drove was a turbocharged one around 5 years ago. Was going to sell it on but I'm quite tempted to keep it for the summer now. Any other MX5 fans on here?

Ive got 1.6 1998 model locked up in the garage. It too needs the sills doing, keep promising to get it done just havent got round to it.

Love the thing. Me and my mate loved throwing the thing down country roads, he drives an mr2 but still loved the fun factor of the little mx5

Bought when I was 19 about a year ago... going to have her insured again from june at uni even though I have barely any need for a car next year. Completely rust free, the only problem? a worn bolster on one of the seats.

Absolutely adore the thing.

Had my MK1 for 2 years:

Wheel lacquer is peeling, front bumper is cracked, wide wheels are stripping the paint off the sides and it's generally a 17 year old car all round. Hope to get something different soon.

MX-5's are the answer to everything.

Even my T-shirt says so

Dup - did you buy those front indicators or did the car come with them?

Must have been a different one mate, this was off a friend's mother, she hadn't put it up for sale :)

Some nice cars in here, thought there was a few owners on here :D

I'll get some pics up over the weekend.

Are all Mk2.5's 6-speed? I thought this was the case but see the odd car advertised as 5 speed. Does the Euphonic have the Bilstein suspension?

Unfortunately, its a no to both questions. Euphonic has upgraded stereo and LSD, but a 5speed gearbox and standard suspension.

List of special editions and what extras they come with.

I heard the 6-speed is a bit pointless anyway other than motorway cruising is a bit nicer?

Dropped you an email about yours Darryn...
