It is funny that you think the voting is legit, they make Sarkozy lose by a small margin for obvious reasons ;)

Any you can make this statement this how:

a) You've got some evidence of electoral fraud which you're obviously going to post in full to substantiate what seems like a ridicules claim.

b) You're a bit silly, have some delusions about how the world works and yet seemingly feel you're actually one of the few in the know.

I'm assuming it will be option b

Read the post again, do you honestly think the governments would allow people to prove the system is rigged? Really?

Without anything substantial to back up such a claim the person making the claim is a delusional idiot.

We do have a free press here so yes, governments can't really do much to stop stories of corrupt voting etc.. appearing if/when it does take place.

You ably demonstrate the classic conspiracy theorists approach to debate. Question everything stated or perceived as factual by the majority yet answer nothing with your own evidence but continue to protest and question everyone else's perspective without actually bringing anything to the table that can be tested.

Devils advocate is the easiest job in the world.

If I had evidence I would be silenced/killed because that would be a national threat and destroy the politcal process so of course I can't prove it.

So it is just gut feeling then.

Just like in England and look what's happening. Serious cuts need to be made but they're forcing them in the wrong places.

These people who have the power don't seem to be very sharp if they keep electing people who are doing it wrong.

Money comes with power but I'm not refering to the higher class.

I didn't mention class, I said wealthy which isn't always the same thing as the higher classes. Although maybe you should elaborate on your theories of who does control this country, in France or more generally the world?

You need to change yoru name to Dopy if you really believe this.

Or I can provide evidence of the press outlining what they believe to be electoral fraud - see the reaction to Bush VS Al Gore vote... the US press was quite free to publish stories regarding voting in Florida etc..

Do you have anything to back up your position... I'd say the only one being dopey here is the person who is ignoring facts and just forming a mindless opinion/subscribing to silly conspiracies based with no grounding in reality. If you want to continue with a delusional view of how the world works then that's fine but don't go around accusing people who question it of being dopey when you've got absolutely nothing to back up your position in the first place.

Anyway... back to the vote for Francois... how do you reckon it'll affect the UK/Franco alliance? Can't say I'm particularly enthused about having Hollande in power - France just doesn't need that sort of leadership IMO.

Doing it wrong for who? Corporations are still in business (who donate/lobby for most to electorates), while the people suffer. So they're doing a fine job to the agenda.

You have to remember if people like you and me know the problems and have workable solutions then those in power with more info than us would do a better job.

History has shown over and over no matter who you vote they never truly serve the people hence the situation we're all in.

Not great with politics but his ideas seem some what far fetched. It looks like he has just promised things people really want to hear, yet probably aren't very possible?
Lower retirement age from 62 to 60, raise minimum wage, 60k more teachers. How will it all be funded?

I'd like to retire at 60

Borrowing money from the EU central bank.

1. Raise taxes on productive citizens. People will leave or stop working.
2. Demand a bailout from productive Germany (in other words raise tax on germans), who wont go for that.
3. Demand ECB prints euros. Germany wont go for that either.

It will look like Greece in 6 months.

They will do all this also.

The EU currency was a big mistake and they're all dominos ready to fall one by one with Greece at the front.

I really dont care about the French or their relationship with us, what amuses me is that they take politics so seriously.

What a joke.

What is interesting is how the country will deal with its most ignored problem, unchecked immigration, which i think is much worse than ours, the outskirts of Paris are basically uncontrolled and usually end up in miniature warzones.

Why is it a joke? Politics are important part of your day to day life really if you think about it - and to have some passion and interest in it is only sensible IMO.
