WTF -Thousands of pills filled with powdered human baby flesh discovered by customs officials

There are no civilised and uncivilised peoples - just different cultures.

Agree or disagree

Disagree,
thats like saying all Chinese eat dogs, or all English eat crumpets and drink tea for breakfast

Some English are irritating, but most are great people :)

Goddammit so this is why my order was delayed.

This is more down to education, untill you have great education across the board alternative medicines/witchcraft and the like are big. Even in countries like ours, there's still pockets of odd people.

Not as bad as rhino horn, shark fin or tiger penis; but the same wrongness of thinking leads to wrongness of action.

It's more than pockets, there's millions of idiots in this country who go for alternative medicine.... thankfully most of them don't involve killing animals or harvesting dead babies.

It's still harmful though.

Sick but this is a sick world. We use baby parts in the west too for various things, even food apparently ?

Even if true, that's a mind-boggling inaccurate take on it.

I wouldn't be too surprised if it's true, although cell lines are typically derived from cancer cells, it's possible to use stem cells to develop cell lines. Those cell lines could then be used for in vitro testing of food additive safety.

Nothing creepy, or sick, about that.

Sounds like you'd know more then me about that kind of research, dont they use the whole baby for various experiments. Not saying Pepsi does it but since this thread is frowning on the eastern sensibilities, I think 'we' do similar ?

No, they don't use the whole baby for experiments. What experiment would you do?

The extraction of fetal stem cells has only the most passing of resemblances to that described in the OP; and the use of them in food research has no similarities at all. No human tissue, or human-derived product, is ending up in your Pepsi whether the claim is true or not. It's just scare-mongering.

The fact is that nearly all human biological research has to be performed with human tissue or products derived from human tissue. There's no other way to do it. I don't see any rational difference between using cells taken from an already dead fetus, cells derived from umbilical blood, cells taken from a tumour or tissue derived from a cadaver.
