Same here with the dates, but worst still the first time I used them I only got half of my order, it took 3 days for the rest to be delivered, and even then there was an item missing. My advice, don't use Asda they're ******* *****.

I can't believe you complained about that, 6 days is more than enough for 1 person with a 2 litre for themselves.
Yes that is the conclusion we came to after using Asda's online shopping for a few times.
A fiver for delivery is fine but what is the point when you have to go out the same or next day yourself to get the stuff that they supposedly didn't have in stock.
I will not leave you hanging like the guy who's leather jacket did not get delivered, I give you updates!

The reason for the discrepancy with the drivers palm pilot is that it only reflects the prices of goods in store on the day, it does not take into account your evouchers. It will however match what you were charged on the day.
The total on your delivery note is what your order will be settled at, including delivery charge less discounts and evouchers..

Tesco mess up every now and again - a quick phone call always sorts it out and they always offer a refund / vouchers. Also for some reason recently they've been emailing me £10 off vouchers every week.

Because its convinient. Because it means not walking or taking the bus with heavy shopping. Because from my experience the service has been perfect. Why not?
The point is, if rotation (or rumbling, as ASDA call it) has been done properly then the items at the front should have adequate time left. It's all relative, I'll happily take a loaf of bread home with 2 or 3 days on it whereas some people will want 6 or 7 days. I tend not to see anything too bad when delivering though. It's certainly not a conspiracy, we don't have a room in the back with short dated stuff that goes solely to home shopping customers.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. If I were to use online shopping (I don't, as I get a staff discount at ASDA in store) then I would have no problem doing it but wouldn't get frozen stuff because of the likelihood of the freezer compartment not being frozen. But we do our best, and we aren't trying to rip anyone off. There'll be bad drivers, sure, but everyone in my shop is great.
And another that that annoys me, customers who have a delivery slot time and then don't even bother to be in. And then, when you get a redelivery, you complain that the driver never turned up. Grr!
I dont drive so often use the service, ill use who ever does a free delivery too. I have no store loyalty, they are all much of a muchness, i enjoy some of the perceived lower quality items over other branded anyway..

Its a real PITA to have to visually check every sodding item on the door step as fast as possible but it seems i must now. Its ok on smaller shops but once in a while ill do a large one to stock up beans and cupboard stuff.
Other than that its fine.

Never used Sainsbury tbh might try them next time.

i know i mean i hate restaurants cos people cook for me and i hate shopping for PC parts at ocuk because i could go to PC world and get them myself.
I was going to buy a few cds the other day but i thought wth i might aswell make my own band and write them myself.
I'm an ASDA homeshopping driver.
I had a woman the other day ranting at me because some of her veg was going out of date in 2 days and we should be expected to route around for long dated stuff..
this is why I prefer to shop myself and "root around"

It costs me less to get a delivery than it does in petrol to get to the Asda.. Not to mention the amount of time and hassle brought about by shopping in a supermarket... People are so lacking in general courtesy... It's also much more convenient. Add shopping list to cart, and then add/remove small bits. Click order. Wait for man to show up. Sorted.
I've also found the substitutes to be generally good, and in cases where we've had issues with fruit and veg going off the next day (one in 10 deliveries), we just process a refund request and it's sorted...

Online shopping is great for us 'meh' individuals. Forgot the milk? 'meh' - I like it black. No peas? 'meh' -I'll go without and add more carrots.

that is my major issue with supermarkets these days. People seem to think it's a new coffee shop where they can stand in the aisle chatting to the long lost friend they haven't seen for years whilst being oblivious to the fact that other people are trying to get passed them.
