Would this letter be ok to send to my teacher???

Fair enough but when your 'old'.. you realise how short and precious those teen years are! not to be wasted indoors

My dad tells me that all the time thats why I balance what I do.
Home work/ revision 1-2hrs a day.
Computer: Depends on the day
Exercise: 1hr-3hrs a day. I usually have a long walk

True - but then there's the other side of the story.

I was similar... been tinkering around since I was a kid and lived in a village with nothing to do.

Sure I could've gone to "play" in fields... but I was much more interested in computers.

This has paid of well... the skills I acquired meant I could have part time jobs & gap year jobs & uni jobs that were much more advanced than what others were doing, meaning I could earn more money and have a better life as a student.

This has then transposed in to a job I enjoy, earning more than triple my age in salary & overtime... who are likely to sponsor me move to the USA on a 6 figure salary.

All before I've even reached the mid-way point of my 20s.

If I hadn't had the opportunity to play with so much when I was younger, I wouldn't be in this position now. I don't feel my time was "wasted" indoors.

12yrs? do yourself a favour lad, go play footy with your mates for a few years. PC stuff comes later when you have a wife and are bored

I was heavily involved in all sorts of computer stuff at that age or a bit before. When you're passionate about it get involved as early as you can.

My advice though, don't get caught up in the hardware side. Software skills are more transferable, unless you're playing around with Arduinos etc

Thanks, when I'm older I want to become a software engineer or economist, because my maths skills are remarkable for my age (my teacher says)

He'll probably make up for them when he's in Uni, like the majority of people do.

If you enjoy computers then enjoy them to the fullest!

I was heavily involved in computers from a very young age, and I can't imagine going a week without them.

The only problem is the mass-weight gain which comes with it.

Well done!

Anyway, I thought with software4students your school/college/whatever didn't need to be registered or anything. I got my sister to buy Office from there, there's no like check to see if you are who you are as far as I remember.
So couldn't you just say you went to any school :s

Mind you.. I thought they were stopping the discounts for MS software?

Nice to see someone so young interested in computers, good to start young really. :)

Keep studying hard, and your life will be a dream after the effort.
