how was it to take off teh stock gpu cooler? The reason i ask is because teh 480gtx was a NIGHTMARE to take off
Although it doesn't show in the pics, my tubing is quite cloudy. Not sure if its the mix thats causing it but think i'll be using coloured tubing next to avoid this.
Its not that thick trust me lol, the gpu core was surprisingly shiny or you could say lapped when i removed the original thermal paste.
Before the coil i dif have a slight kink in it, i could try without but dont want to drain the loop again tbh.

ah ok just seems that such an amazing setup as yours and it is one of the best looking ive seen is spoilt by that damn coil .

It was a doddle, the thing practically fell off when i removed the last screw. First and easiest removal lol. All the thermal pads stuck to the cooler aswel.
Hmm the more i look at it the more i think so too. I'll see about removing it tomorrow without cutting into the tubing. Will be precision surgery![]()
pics mate plz
btw im on baby blue water now also and its awesome the only thing i think looks as good is custard water tbh
i want to try tangerine tho i think that would look nice
, the coil might leave an imprint on the tubing though which will make it look lame...
), so you've got something to compare with.sweet, thanks for that. I'm back tomorrow so will do some further testing with the card using 3Dmark11.Nice!
I will post my results later on (and edit my sig), so you've got something to compare with.
Very nice. Where did you get the thermal gunk stuff from which you put on your memory modules?

. Should be a good year for watercooling users.Never did see how your installation went but apparently it went nice and smooth.
I knew that putting GPUs under water reduced temps but im so impressed so far.
I must have been getting about 90 degrees topping out on BF3 on air
I now get 40-41 tops after about 5 hours gameplay on BF3 under water.
System looks great BTW.

Watercooling has only really kicked off these past 2 years or so really. Even back in the 8800GT days most were on aircooling. The variety of waterblocks and liquid cooling companies now is on the rise with some bringing years of experience to give us the best with todays technology.
I for one is looking forward to the next few years in new waterblock designs in not just performance but in aesthetics/styling aswel. Should be a good year for watercooling users.
