It just occured to me that the stuff inside Ferrero Roche is probably just Nutella. They are both made by the same company I think so I bet they just put Nutella in them. I think it could be bordering on misrepresentation of goods, because they market them as sort of fancy diplomatic chocolates, not plain old nutella.

If it IS nutella, I think it should be clearly labeled as such on the packaging.

What actually led me to the realizing it was when I was filling ice cream cones with nutella and eating them as a snacks just now and I realized it basically tastes like Ferrero Roche.

now this will really bake your cookie Kwerk,

Ferrero Roche have been around for donkeys years, i remember them as a kid (30 years ago) but i dont remember Nutella back then.

so what came first? i say Roche came first, leading to the fact that the stuff kids (and adults) put on the toast or sandwich every day, is in fact a by product of Ferrera Roche chocs.

i swear i can taste the Aambassador

Ferrero Rocher were introduced in 1982; Nutella in 1963 from a recipe back in the 40s. So this can't be ruled out on the grounds of causality.

1 gram of Nutella has around 5,4 calories. 1 Ferrero Rocher weighs around 15 grams and is around 70 calories, giving a value of 4,7ish calories per gram. Making an allowance for variance due to a less calorie dense crispy shell and nuts, the figures seem to add up...

Does anyone have access to some Ferrero Rocher and a balance and can give us a mass per component?
