Grasping at straws now huh?![]()
Genuine question here.
Why are you so aggressive in everything you post?

Never saw it but I will after this post.
Why don't you stay out of the thread? You have nothing to add and like a beaten liberal you try to attack the poster with irrelevancy.

Just to add that anyone thinking they can criticise Christianity should really do some research and make sure they are informed. Reading the Bible in full would be a good start.
No, the laws of the Old Testament have been superceded.
It's not irrelevant and I wasn't addressing his post, but his signature. He doesn't want to talk about it so thats fine.
I have posted a lot on here on this very subject including a pretty large contribution to a Mega thread on the subject. My views haven't changed - use the search feature to find out more.

Reading the Bible in full is what turns most people off Christianity.
There was some research done a while back which showed the more someone knew about the Bible, the more likley they were to be an Athiest.
If any group of people need to read the Bible more it's Christians, most of whom have never read anything more than the cherry picked lines their pastors spoon feed them.
Have you heard of Matt Dillahunty (look him up on YOutube)? A prominant Athiest who knows more about the bible that 99.999% of Christians do and often tears them a new one by pointing out the numerous contradictions in the New Testament alone (let alone the OT).
I haven't noticed it before. I found the link quite interesting, I suppose it's getting a lot of backing from religious people in general.
No, the laws of the Old Testament have been superceded. No circumcision for Christians either or prohibition of certain foods. It doesn't mean that the Old Testament is rubbish.
If you want to know more Google will link you to lots of info. I don't think you are really interested though so I won't waste too much of my time.

I have read the Koran, the Talmud, the Torah, the Vedas and many other religious books. Ignorance is not a strong position to criticise from.

If you want to go off topic and start criticizing Christianity then feel free to start a new thread.Matt Dillahunty is more than welcome to post on it.
He's likely a previously banned member here to wind people up. Every single one of his posts is aggressive and bizarre.
So you've been then? Does the Koran allow sodomy, how many other religions don't allow it but you've failed to mention/criticise?
I agree with spud anyway.. you are going totally off topic.
I believe that they should be able to marry, there is no valid reason why not.
However, I do think individual churches should be able to decide whether they will do the ceremony or not.
Spud was the one who brought up the Bible and the OT vs the NT stuff not me!
Personally I think that asking a religion to carry out weddings for gay couple's is wrong, when it is going against the religion. They have plenty of legitimate places to chose from, why chose a religious place?
Christianity view's homosexuality as a sin. That mean's generally speaking gays are still welcome in the Church, because it's just a sin.. and everyone sins every single day most likely. What wouldn't be acceptable would be attending a church when you have absolutely no intention of trying to change that sin I imagine, because it would be right in your face.
I would imagine there are Christian gays out there.
This thread has just turned into a hate fest anyway. Shame.
If a dude wants to do another dude in his spare time (and then perhaps marry that dude) then who are we to stop them.
I agree with my main man Obama. Alas, his latest views will no doubt anger the Christians...... and maybe even Black people......
