i had an ip4 about a year ago , and have since had the lumia 800 and now the HTC one x infact i have had 4 one x now as there is big problems with the screen , and i always seem to end up with a faulty one !
i have been offered the s3 when it comes out , or i iphone 4 s but is it worth me tring myself into a 2 year contract for the 4s now ?
i know the 4s will have the better resale value ........

i had this choice last year but opted to stay with the 4. my contract runs out next April/May time which will be perfect timing for the 5.

IMO it's not worth it. Try and get a deal for 12 months just to tie you over

It's pretty darn likely that a new iPhone will come out in September. Customers will likely not be happy if it doesn't, considering that the 4S had a big delay.

It isn't worth getting it now. It's a great phone but quite frankly, you'd be better off buying something cheaper SIM free and waiting. It depends on whether or not you want to jump on the iOS platform or whether you are just interested in a new phone.

It is all speculation at the moment, iPhone to iPhone 4 were summer releases in June with the exception of the iPhone 3G. iPhone 4s was October, who knows if Apple will stick with October release or will they return to June/July release as per the earlier models?

I'm also in the "waiting" camp, my contract expired in April on my IP4 and I'm sticking with a rolling monthly until the 5/new iPhone whether that's summer or October.

I've got a 4 and my contract ran out in January. I'm holding on for the next one. Even though my sister is pestering me because she wants my 4

A lot of people tied themselves into 2 year contracts when the 4 was released, so it would make sense for apple to release something near July to retain people when renewals come up. Whether this happens or not is another thing!

A lot of iPhone customers buy iPhones because they're made by Apple. Apple know this, and they know that they don't have to rush their releases to retain customers.

I'd say that the June release is going to be very unlikely, just because we haven't heard much, but I have no evidence, this is purely my guess.

I doubt apple work on things like that to be honest :p

ok guys , i will wait , but i need a phone now as my one x will be being sent back , any one know of any iphone bargins atm is the 3gs still worth looking up as a stand in ?

Just buy a used iPhone 4 not an s, then maybe lose around £75 once the 5 comes out, should get one for around £300 for a 16gb, be at least 3 months before the 5 is shipping.

As Slumberbox said, iPhone 4 if iOS is the route you want to take.. It doesn't lose much to the 4S, and the experience is still pretty darn good.

However, you might want to go for a far cheaper Android device running CyanogenMod or something, merely to save money.

iPhone 4 at the moment, also holding out for the 5, why don't you just get the One X replaced? Tons of them have faulty screens and can be returned for replacement.
