Ah right, well you can get thinner tiny little ones. Next time you're in or driving past a B&Q or Wickes, go and check them out, usually found with hinges, cupboard accessories/kitchens.

The CNPS12X has made me swear off Zalman for good. Only word to describe it's mounting mechanism is diabolical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a waste of my evening. Not only does it not fit the orientation I wanted it to (why the **** did they offset the base?????), but I tried in vain for half an hour to mount it in a different orientation, but the mounting system is evil that I gave up..

Its going back.

rossi, i know this is going to be hard to tell, but if you had a gpu in what would be the top possible slot (probably a 1xpcie on your board) do you think that the phanteks would block that slot?

Got 3 coolers in my basket (ND14, Thermaltake Frio Extreme, Phanteks) and at this point think I might just buy al 3 and hopefullt find one that fits.

Am pretty sure the ND14 will fit, but really want the phanteks

Going with the ND14 90% certain that will fit. Not at all sure about phanteks or frio extreme.

Can I stick any 140mm fans on the nd14?

Both the NH-D14 and the Phanteks have the same width of 140mm.

You can just lower the fan a tiny bit so that at most it sticks out 5mm above the top of the heatsink.

The top slot on my board the pci-e with the Matrix in it. However the case has a slot higher. If that slot was able to be used then i think would be very close.

And yes you can attach 120mm fans to the Phanteks, uses clips for the fans and the fans themselves have 120mm hole spacing.

if its the same width as the nd14, i should be ok.

Problem with the cnps12x was not that it only had like 1mm to spare, but that it went over a couple of mm.

If it doesn't fit....... well, then I am obviously stuffed where high end air coolers are concerned!

Oh no....

Place I ordered from has 11PM cut-off, which I was well within when ordered. Looked this morning and it says "picking in progress"

If this is accurate, then not going to get anything until at least tomorrow. This may not seem like a long time, but I really really really want this done and dusted now

Hope their site is wrong.

That sucks, would they be delivering on a Saturday? I would call them and stress that you ordered before cutoff and ask for an update.

At the very least they will need to change address, but if they have not sent it out for delivery today then they can cancel and I will order from elsewhere.

Thing is, I know myself well enough to know that if I don't get it tonight, there will still be that CNPS12X sitting there.... and out of sheer impatience and frustration I will try once again to mount it... only way am going to achieve that is completely ripping my build apart again...

I just hope they sent it.
