Hi All

First time posting in the apple section here at the forums but i'm just looking for a bit of advice/help - i'm looking to sell my Macbook Air but i'm wondering what are the best places - i mean eBay is obvious but i wanted to try and avoid that to be honest, i've nothing wrong it as such but it can be a lot of hassle, they'll take a massive cut of the money etc

I thought about on here but all i've seen being sold on here before is component s etc i thought it seems an odd place for me to sell an apple laptop :)

Thanks

Ebay will take a big cut but its probably where you'll achieve the best price for it so swings and roundabouts. Just take decent seller protection precautions if you do so and you should be fine.

I see a fair few macbooks bought and sold on here, its where I got mine from.

No harm putting it up here either, free and 99.999999999% guarenteed a perfect sale

Ask friends and people you know if they want it. They're very popular second hand buys.

I already have 3 people who asked me if I was interested in selling my MBP and I never declared any interest in parting with it.

Else, you could try gumtree.

yeah didn't know what you were talking about then to be honest! ha - i'll try and list it on here first thanks :)

EDIT - listed on the MM now - let me know if your interested :)

bit steep in price if you ask me. a 2011 pro has just gone for £300 less than you're asking so the money saved could go on upgrading to an SSD. i'd rethink your price if you want a sale.

maybe so - but surely couldn't go much less due to the condition and the spec of the machine - bit unfair to compare to a pro though - completely different laptop with different needs in mind - i've got a pro myself and the Air is the better, lighter faster machine by far...

then sell the pro and keep the Air if it's better.

not starting an argument just an observation if the Air is better!

you do raise a good point but i use the Pro every day (i have it plugged into Dell 24" then use Pro as second monitor for emails etc) and it fits into my workflow extremely well - i got the Air to complement that for when i was working out of office or maybe for more personal work etc but that plan just never worked out as i'm working in the office on the pro all day so there is never actually a time to work on the Air...

you do make a good point though...
