Who has bought the Nvidia 670 cards

Can't wait to get mine and test how good it is at running baldurs gate, cthulhu saves the world, vvvvvv, and braid :)

Hopefully my FPS will go up from 400 to 600.

Am I the only one who doesn't really "get" this card? I mean, nVidia have basically killed the market for the GTX680. I don't regret mine but if I was buying now, it'd be one of these, all day, every day.

It's a very strange move IMO. They'd have been better putting this between the 7970 and 50 and pricing it to suit.

I paid £380 for my Palit 680, which seems more in position to the 670. It clocks to 1280mhz without any extra voltage so it'll be interesting to see how far the 670's go.

Went for the MSI version, finally time to upgrade my 5870, decided to try the green team for the first time in my life, got tired of all the issues AMD have been having supporting new games properly at launch.

if you look at when the 570 was released, that would OC to 580 levels too and was a good chunk off the price... when you start from the midrange cards and work up, each increment in price is more than the performance you gain

when the 660 comes it, it will no doubt be cheaper than it's comparative step down in performance (e.g. it will probably be around £200+ and OC to 670 levels)

it usually does work out that 2 mid range cards cost the same as the top end card, but 2 midrange cards in SLI outperform a single top end card by a good margin

some people will always want "the best" and pay the extra, just like if you are prepared to wait you can get the 670 cheaper but some people are willing to pay the extra £20 to get it tomorrow

I would be gutted if I had spent 680 money a few weeks back and this comes out.

Glad I'm now off the crazy rollercoaster :p

With the new 14 day rule I could swap if I could be bothered, but return postage will be a tenner and it's a bit of a faff.

I think if i'd spent over £400 it'd be going back.

Actually it'd be less than £50 after cost of postage. And where do you upgrade a 512GB Crucial M4 to? ;)

Windforce 670 arrived. :cool::cool::cool:

Shame OcUK covered the box ends in brown wrapping tape (which i can't remove as it'd peel off the serial number stickers) but hey ho! :rolleyes:

Fun time installing and clocking tonight! :cool:

Oh and Haribo!:D
