Well my 690 arrived this afternoon and it's just a masterpiece of engineering. I'd had problems with 3 monitor setups and tearing, running 3 screens with different display inputs, so the 3 x dual dvi was something I'd been waiting for. The performance is outstanding but it's also whisper quiet even overclocked, amazing, really don't know what else to say. Thanks overclockers. :)

wow I bet that is awesome with your monitor setup - I was wondering how that cooler functioned. I hoep some day to get a setup like that :) ...

I think with some of the frankencards that have had dual gpus over the years, it's worth admiring the effort that nvidia have put in to making this one. It will be interesting to see if they make a dual gtx 670.

The 690 is an awesome card, all that power and cool and quiet. Imagine next year we will have similar power in a single Maxwell GPU. Graphics cards are getting very good, just need some decent games to go with the power now :p.

With EVGA Precision 135% power, 165 Clock Offset and 650 Memory Offset it runs standard heaven with 145.7 fps, 3671 score, generally around the 1230 Mhz mark for gpu clocks. This is with a max temp of 74 degrees. The fans on this thing are really good, I've only stepped up to 75% and at this level it's really not that noticeable. I game on 5928 x1080 (bezel adjusted) 23" samsung 120hz monitors and it's as smooth as butter. Very impressed.

The auto fan settings are not good, which is to be expected but as a reference at stock speeds, the temps were hitting 80.

I have to resist the urge to sli now :D but it's another advantage over having a pair of 670s, which to be fair are probably not far off the 690 but my motherboard doesn't support tri sli, so the 690 was the only option I had to leave room for expansion. Another plus for the 690 is the three dual dvi connectors, I had problems with tearing using previous cards running three monitors and different types of display adapters, had no problems using the 690.
