Would a 7850 run 2 x 1080p screens with all the bells and whistles?

I've got a chance to get me hands on another identical 24" screen the same as my existing one, an IIyama E2473HDS and as Iquite fancy the idea of a bit more screen real estate, I'm wondering if me 7850 would be man enough for the job. Its overclocked to 1175/ 5300 and while it has absolutely no probs running anything I throw at it, I think it might struggle with 3840 x 1080 resolution with graphical options set quite high.
So, do ppl here reckon I'd ok or am I expecting too much? :)

It'll work, but you'll have a great big bezel down the middle.

Yep, I've done a bit of digging and found out thats the case why ppl go for triple monitors, (should've realised actually). So....I've got the dosh available for three monitors, maybe three 22" versions but I seriously doubt if me cpu would have enough grunt to not be a bottleneck and that the 7850 would probably not be powerful enough to do the job.

Yeah 7850 even overclocked would struggle to push 3x screens. You'd really need to go CF or SLi to have the grunt for that kind of res.

I had a 7850 before upgrading and a 3 monitor setup. It did ok, for games that are not graphics intensive, I play mostly mmos and world of warcraft ran in 3 screens @120Hz at 120fps. the only problems I had it with it, which I've also had with other cards, is tearing due to different display input types. This was on 3 x Samsung 23" monitors. For comparison the 7850 ran heaven at around 15fps (1100/1135/5600) on three screens and a GTX 690 does 52fps (unclocked).

It doesn't? I assumed it would:confused: or does it only work with three screens?

Yeah, technically it works, but I class it as not working as i don't think any games are actually playable like that.

I thought you meant you wanted one for games, and the other for emails and stuff like that :p

3 Screens with 7850 xfire is the way to go IMO

I could easily get away with two screens, but I reckon the missus would deffo get the hump if three screens suddenly appeared on the desk, plus the cost of an extra 7850 (and maybe psu as well) and the cost all of a sudden starts to spiral out of sight. The other option is a mahoosive screen with a reasonably high res. Have to do some research here.:)

Only trouble with going for the big screen is that the cost soon flies up when you hit 32". Go for the 3 monitors if you can find a good deal to bring the costs down to keep the mrs happy. Im sure going in to a place and having a haggle would get a result.
