Cancer for example is a life threatening illness that is why we strive to find a cure as we should strive to find a cure for any activity that threatens the reproduction of life, nature isn't perfect, but we must strive to overcome the imperfections, we were given the ability to solve such matters for a reason.

Rubbish - the hypocrisy of everything you've written is outdated, embarrassing and disappointing. I'm sure happiness is the most progressive attitude/aim we can all have, and by stiffling other's happiness I'd regard your attitude as regressive and archaic. Just an opinion, of course :)

given that the most numerous life on earth are bacteria it seems nature likes them a whole hell of a lot more than people.
