I just happen to have a recent copy of "Mens Journal" in my lav (no it's not a gay magazine). And there's an interesting article on a former M$ employee and more over how he viewed a future mobile device.

Here's his reference image

Did you not realise that before iPhones there were... other mobile phones with largely the same features? And before that you could buy PDA's? And before that, you could buy Palmtops?

Newsflash: Apple did not invent the smart phone.

Yes it looks vaguely similar to an iPhone. It also looks vaguely similar to every other touch screen phone. And PDA. And tablet.

Also, "M$", really?

Sorry on the M$. The title was pretty much straight from the magazine. I've not seen the image anywhere else bar the magazine hence my thought is that it would be of interest to the OCUK community.

"Slot for Removable Media"

Ancient MS Tablet/Phone, +1

And it's easy to write it off saying "loads of stuff is like that" but there wasn't in 1991.

For those that seem to doubt what I posted. It's on page 104 of Men's Journal issue May 2012. The article looks legit, including a picture of the subject of the article with Bill Gates.
