On my 2560x1440 Monitor.

I am only given the option to change the resolution up to 1680x1050. This is both in the Windows Screen Resolution management and the Intel iGPU Graphcis management application.

What's the most likely cause?

Thanks

Installed all drivers (especially intel integrated graphics driver) from the mobo drivers disk?

I have had the same problem before. This fixed it.

my 2500k iGPU runs Napoleon Total War on medium settings and GTA4 on low. Also plays full blu-ray 22gb+ movies no problem.

iGPUs are good. But not a patch on your 670 :p

"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements needed to xxxx"

I got this message several times using the installation files on the CD.

No idea what's causing this.

If you're using the integrated GPU then I don't think any of the outputs on the motherboard will support 2560x1440.

- 1 x D-Sub port
- 1 x DVI-D port, supporting a maximum resolution of 1920x1200
* The DVI-D port does not support D-Sub connection by adapter.
- 1 x HDMI port, supporting a maximum resolution of 1920x1200

If you're using the GTX 670 then make sure to connect with a dual link DVI or DisplayPort cable.

Message whilst installing drivers or software?

If software, then maybe x86 software on x64 system?

Yes true, but should at least get 1920x1200. Instead of the 1680x1050 that OP is getting.

Intel Graphics Driver, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator and the Windows Update - 'Intel HD Graphics 3000' (or maybe 4000 in your case) are what was required to get my PC to output the correct res.
