One of those days...

Had one of those days today, wish i never woke up, lower intercooler pipe popped off twice under heavy load on the way up the A68(duff jubilee clip), both during overtakes :mad:

, also had a small bump in heavy traffic, low speed on the front nearside, which put a nice big hand sized scuff on the front bumper snapped the bumper mounting on that side, snapped the indicator light mounts on the indicator housing also smashed the glass on fog light on that side, i was absolutely furious with myself :mad:

, no excuse on my part, just lost concentration... annoying thing is, there was only a small scuff on the other car :mad:

on close inspection, nothing serious, all appears cosmetic, but it will have to be bodged till next payday when i can get it sorted properly.
and then to make things worse, i had to sit through 2 hours of traffic in edinburgh

however i am now home and have beer in hand!

anyone else have one?

So after it blowing off once, you decided to keep going and work the car hard overtaking people... :confused:

Bad news about the prang, hopefully you get it sorted out OK.

a relatively simple issue, refitted hose tightened up jubilee then went on my way, happened again, inspected closer jubilee clip U/S, fitted best i could till i could get to a hardware shop, got a new one fitted it, and went on my way again.

Heh same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Put my footdown and intercooler pipe came off to stupid jubilee clip, bought some mikalors and been fine ever simce.

Ah they look a fair bit stronger than bog standard jubilees, very similar in design to vband clamps, think i'll get a set of those!

when i drove up to and around scotland i was amazed at the lack of traffic on the main roads. it was all so relaxing until i got into edinburgh. i realised the lack of traffic everywhere else is because almost every car in scotland is stuck in the one way maze of edinburgh roads. on my way in i passed a park and ride and thought nah ill be ok finding a parking space, BIG mistake. you see car parks but to get to them you have to go on a 15 mile detour round one way streets.

after my experience there i didnt chance glasgow city centre.
