Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z GEN3 ivy bridge

I have a z68 maximus gen 3 mobo, will the 3770k overclock on this board.
im using a gigabyte sniper 2 and multi is locked. just wanted to know if anyone has the gene z68 gen 3 board. and it overclocks ok.

The chip overclocks ok mate yeah. Just the memory is abit limited on that board and all Z68's upto now infact. Better bios is required I believe. You have some low latency stuff though your good to go,

do u know what bios i need to be able to overclock my 3770k. thx in response

Any one of the latest 3 series bios supports the CPU mate.
