Chronicle (2012 Movie) looks pretty good

Yup, seen the trailer a few times now and it does look like a decent watch. Seems like one of the lads will be power hungry and go out of control.
It's out next week too which was quicker than I thought.

Yep very interested in this film as well, depending on reviews it'll be one for the Blu Ray pre-order list for sure

Yeah it does look entertaining however, I have a feeling it'll be one of those (which I am oh so tired of) movies where the protagonist get something pretty awesome but it's nothing but angsty BS, yep they're kids but still.

Regardless, I'm sure I will like it.

I saw this last night at an advanced screening. I cannot recommend it enough. There were no reviews to go on and I don't know this director, but it was well executed and enjoyable throughout. My girlfriend enjoyed it too.

It's left me with a feeling for more, but had a good mix of humour, action, mystery and the storyline has no plot/badguys/goodguys/events and so you don't know what will happen next. The effects are pretty good, so I'd give it a 8 or 9 out of 10 from me.

One of the films i am really looking forward to this year along with John Carter and Battleship....oooh must make a 2012 film thread.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it Booner, I've read one review and it gave it a very health 4 out of 5 so I'll be sure to check it out when it hits Blu Ray :)

Im going to watch this movie tonight off the back of a friend who is into his movies (a movie buff so to speak) He said it was a "brilliant film" and he never gives many films such high praise.

I will post my findings when i get back (starts at 9)

OK this movie is not a bad movie, Its actually (as far as *cam* movies go) pretty good. There are some good character progressions, pretty solid acting and some good effects, however there are a few things that annoyed me (minor niggles)
1. They enter in other camera footage and CCTV snippets which dont seem to fit with the telling of the story.
2. There could have been a bit more "action" towards the end.

All in all (without spoiling too much) if you like the anime "Akira" you will like this movie.

Well that was kinda meh - went all prototype in the last 1/3 after what seemed a knee jerk reaction that really wasnt in keeping with the character - just seemed they ran out of interesting ideas so decided to destroy stuff and ensure it was as public as possible.

Hell it appeared that added a whole member to the cast just so they could be another cameraman :/. Totally agree with Musty Pies first point regards breaking the whole 'cam' effect they tried to enforce...

And I love Akira, but I dont really like this, it passed the time. Carnage was better...

Saw this last night, I quite enjoyed it. Better than a lot of generic "super power" films out there.

The turn to the dark side was a little quick but was reasonably fitting given the character and back story.

I'd give it a solid 7 or 8 out of 10! Worth a watch (especially on Orange Wednesday!)

Just watched this and thought it was brilliant. Really liked how the used the camera to show it from their perspective ratehr than a "found footage" type film as allowed for a few other camera angles.

Thought the 3 main characters were pretty much spot on, loved andrew and his downward spiral and matt being the weaker but ultimate hero. Good ending too with Matt in Tibet.

The whole flight scene was truly breathtaking as well.
Awesome filmed loved it
