Which has the better performance as cost is pretty much the same. As far as i can see the 550ti beats it in most aspects except the memory interface. I am in a right pickle haha :)

How to overclock a 7850 past 1050MHz?

Ultimately I suppose it wil affect the lifespan of the card, how long do you want it to last?

It might only last 3/4 years instead of 5/6, or whatever.

You'll likely want to replace it well before it dies.

A stock HD 7850 already easily out performs the GTX 560Ti and then the HD 7850 can be overclocked enormously.

AMD Radeon HD 7850 and 7870 review

You don't have to overclock at all if you don't want to or you can be more conservative with the overclock.

If you've no wish to do any overclocking then you can buy a HD 6950 for £150 which will perform around the same as a stock speed HD 7850 but will use more power.

Sapphire HD 6950 OC "Dual Fan Edition" 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £149.99 until Wednesday morning

Whatever you buy make sure your power supply and the rest of your system are up to the job and that it fits in your case.
