BF2142 - was this any good?

It's something I never bothered with, was it actually any good?

It was alright yeah, nothing really wrong with it. But I did try it a couple of months ago and found next to none still playing, maybe I needed to patch it.

Only played it a few times, it wasn't bad when it was released just now it's graphics look so out-dated might aswell play BC2 or BF3

Its actually one of the best battlefield games to date, It may not be modern but its fun and strategic.

It's because it's not on Steam, it's helped keep BF2 alive and one of the guys at DICE was working on getting it on Steam until EA threw a hissy fit and started pulling games.

It was excellent; proper VoIP like BF2 but with futuristic vehicles and weapons. Vastly superior to BF3 in my opinion.

I was absolutley addicted to it, Titan mode was just sooooo much fun, running around on the outer hull, knifey knifey after you pod in, then slogging your way thru the corridors, sigh, heaven... :cool:

Didn't get into it when it came out, bought the deluxe edition a couple years back...

Not many still playing, and the populated servers left were locked to one map so it was a bit dull, yeah hope you like suez canal.

It was the only Battlefield game I ever got into to any extent, thought it was brilliant. Must be a bit of a ghost town now though, surely?

I bloody loved the game! The whole Titan aspect was great fun!

It was however, very buggy and the lag on the Titan was stupid at times

IMO it was too early, but would love them to bring it back.

It was a great game, had a much niver "feel" to it compared to BF2 in my opinion, felt less "arcadey". Shame it seemed to die off in popularity...

Now if only they could do a BF2143 in Frostbite 2...

This was the only BF I did not really like. I do much prefer normal weapons though.

It was an excellent game. Titan mode was perfectly balanced, and very dynamic.

I'd go as far as saying Titan mode was the best game mode I've ever played, as a result I put over 1000 hours and 3 years into the game.

In the end people grew tired of the bugs, for example people could glitch sentry guns and get inside certain objects.. the titan crate was the favourite, DICE tried time and time again to fix the issue but failed.

One of my favourite battlefield games, played it just as much as bf2 and now BF3. Would be awesome to have a 2143 in frostbite 2!

This sounds awesome and I would love for BF3 to incorporate this into some sort of DLC (BF2143?).

Yup, BF2142 was really good, one of my favourite BF titles. There was some rumors and teases for another for BF3 with screenshots of 2143 on drums etc, hope we do see another. Titan mode so good :cool:

My fave BF version.

It was great romping around in the battlewalker and as mentioned previously titan mode was great.

The last BF before the consolification.

I enjoyed it and would have played for more years but met mf gf who became my wife and then had two kids. Wanted to reinstall it and I had lost the key code.
