ive kinda upgraded from...

nvidia 7300GE 256mb
to
Ati radeon hd 2600 pro 512mb

and now have a AMD Radeon™ HD 6450 Graphics

will i see much improvements?
 
for what?

gaming? no way! the 6450 is a basic gpu for blue ray/hd video etc... its mainly a HTPC gpu... gaming is a no no on that card

i see what you mean. just re run the windows experiance testing think it gone from

5.2 aero
6.2 3d gaming

to
4.7 aero
6.2 3d gaming

that was a waste of £15 :(
 
At least try the card beforehand. On the other hand, the cheapest card I would go for is probably a 6770/5770 if you really want to spend low.
 
ok another old card, the 6450 has gone so i was back to using the radeon 2600

i now have a sapphire x1950 pro ( big card , think it can be sli'd,and take a power lead,

will this be any better
 
The X1950 pro will be the better card, but it's pretty old and uses more power :eek:

And AMD/ATi cards call it Crossfire, not SLi ;) That's Nvidia :p.
 
You bought one card without checking it out first, and i mean the information is freely available all over the internet, then you decided it wasn't good enough so you've just done it again? you must be trolling.

i buy pc towers and random bits to sell on and trade for other parts never usually got time to do me research at the moment thats why i ask you guys cause " most" of you reply quick with simple yes or no answeres.
