Hi guys, I've decided to go from getting the Corsair H100 to the Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator instead. I know the risks of a h100 leaking are low, but its still a risk I would not like to take with the system I've just built.

I have the Phantom 410 GunMetal case (very nice case :D) and the p8z77-v pro.

Will I have to take the motherboard out to mount this beast of a cooler?

The case looks to have a nice big cut out in the motherboard tray, I think you will get away with just leaving the board in situ.

see how wide the case is as you wanna be able to fit the side panel case on without it hitting the top of the heatsink

heatsink is 160mm 16cm tall i think,so a case thats 18-19cm wide would be ok

If the case has a cutout for the back of the motherboard then it should be easy without taking the board out. The mounting system on the D14 is one of the best I've seen, you pre-fit the back-plate and mounting before you add the actual radiator. They even package a nice long screw driver in the box for attaching the cooler to the mounting system. The included instructions are a doddle to follow.

Couldn't recommend the D14 enough its the best cooler I have ever used and it has everything you need including their thermal paste which is very good.

As mentioned the mounting system is a doddle to fit, and the cooler is dead silent with the supplied fans. My only slight gripe is I wish the fans themselves were a more slick colour as the brown is a bit dated but that is irrelevant really.
