Tories whose dads are well off.

OP is obviously trolling, but if he wants some 'evidence' just look at the correlation of voting trends and voter income, it's pretty clear.

As a massive generalization it works like this:

Have money and want to keep it = vote conservative
Getting money and want to keep it = vote conservative
Have money and don't care about keeping it = vote Liberal
Have no money but want some in the future = vote labour
Have no money and never will have = vote labour
Have money but have a sense of equality = vote labour

Simple really - wish the parties where as honest.

Just interested to see who is a tory, and if your dad/mum is well off or not. It's just to see if political ideology has anything to do with your financial situation as you are growing up. Thanks.

You are wrong, I had this same bitter and jealous viewpoint when I was 13.

How old are you?

It's not about generalisation. Just 2 simple questions. Do you vote tory, and are your mum and dad well off. I suggest a means of measuring that could be the average income for working-age households was around £33,000 in 2011. So if your mum and dad earned that or more between them, say?

I loathe conservatism and the Tories, and my parents weren't (and still aren't) rich, but we have always been comfortable. Perhaps that could be described as lower-middle class? :o

You might call me a Tory - I'd say I was a Liberal (a proper one) although I'd be accurately cast a a Peelite Tory. My dad is well off, not rich, but well off. Middle class certainly. Historically that's where Liberal and/or Peelite support came from. The core Tory support though was landowners who wanted to maintain the status quo.

You'll not prove anything though. These forums have been proven many times to be mainly Tory voting, and mainly Classic Liberal.

It's partly true and I know that some of my family vote for them because they are well off and for no other reason.

what "i'm rich so i shall vote tory for the lolz"?

surly it's more "i get hit hard by high tax to pay for scroungers 5th illegitimate child so I'll vote for the party that wants to cut that ****"?

Its not about helping the rich or poor, its more about realizing you can't invent money to pay for chavs with 10 kids and in general people with jobs are more likely to realize this and agree.

btw I'm Tory and dad's loaded

Sort of, they don't read policies or pay attention to politics. If the lib dems adopted the same policies for welfare, they still would always vote tory.
Tories did introduce some changes to welfare but they are not filtering down to tax cuts.
