YEEHAH, the Redhead is goin' down!

By this stage, I would be VERY surprised if the six of them didn't end up in court. However, I agree that they will likely get off scot-free.
...
On the other hand, I have no doubt that the Dirty Digger will fund the most expensive legal team available to make sure that this ends here; he can't afford to have Brooks and Hanna swinging from the trees, announcing where all the incriminating evidence is buried in order to get a lighter sentence.

Oh the things you don't know. I wish I could embarrass you.

Rebekah Brooks, her old Etonian husband, her PA, her chauffeur, a member of her security staff and News International security head Mark Hanna are all to be charged with perverting the course of justice. (The Guardian)

GREAT, SHOWERS ALL ROUND! When will they nail Coulson?

5* post. would read again.

Pfftt nothing will come of it.

Yep pretty much so dont know why Stockie is getting all excited for lol. The best that will happen is that they will get a slap on the wrist, perhaps a fine and told not to do it again etc.

Joking aside, it's funny when the Torries have a pop at the public sector for giving out non-jobs with made up titles and then continue with the almost pointless 'Culture Secretary' cabinet position.

Whilst not a fan of non jobs and some of the positions thought up by Labour, but I thought that particular role actually had some fairly useful input into society.

I think the role of Culture Secretary is very important.

I think Churchill summed it up very well during WWII. He refused to cut money from the arts budget in the middle of the war. His view was that otherwise "what were we fighting for"

You can think that culture is important without the need for culture secretary. I think animal welfare is important but there's no Minister For Animal Protection.

If you assume anything that is important requires a cabinet position, the cabinet room where they meet would have to be the size of Wembley stadium.

Culture, media and sport are slightly more universally popular and necessary than animal welfare (what would that guy even do?).

In YOUR opinion. Not everyone likes football or goes to the theatre.

I'm not arguing for the postion of Minister For Animal Welfare, I was making the point that you can take anything that is important and create a cabinet position based on that logic.

And your question about what would a Minister for Animal Welfare do can be applied to the the Minister for Culture too, what does he do? Aren't the various sporting governing bodies anf arts councils looking after those areas?

In most people's opinion.

And lol at how uninformed you are. The DoC covers: telephony, broadband, TV licensing, radio licensing, theatre, sporting events, cultural events, historic properties, national trust liaison, museums, national ceremonies, all national sport, some design and planning policy, takes care of tourism, takes care of Internet issues.... among others.

Are you trying to tell me that most people aren't involved, reliant on or have an interest in any of the above?
