Diablo3 Guest pass begging thread

I must be a total Diablo noob, just read this page and understood it right up to this point:

If Im reading this right, you can download the starter edition to play a 'demo' of the game for free, but you cant really because you cant play the starter edition without a Guest Pass.....which are only available in the retail box versions of the game. Err what?

So to 'tryout' the game (like a demo) I have to buy the game?:confused:
 
I just downloaded the client, entered my battle net details and I'm playing the starter edition, its not that complicated no guest pass involved

Have you actually tried this? The promotional material suggests this will be the case a month from now but for the first month you need a pass.

works fine here I'm playing it, no guest pass, nothing, just downloaded client and logged in with battle.net user/pass and its registered on my account as starter edition

LOL! So these 'guest passes' were useless?!?
 
seriously its working here, I haven't entered any keys or anything i just logged in with my battle.net ID thats it!

Im also going to be a ***** and ask,

Only im being extra cheeky and want two :D

Me and my work mate are both SKINT until payday but we want to try the game out to see if its worth us playing CO-OP when we get paid.

It would be most appreciated :D

u don't need one!!! download client as above log in using your battle net id and bingo starter edition
 
If my disc arrives and you haven't got one by tomorrow I'll trust you. Can't believe someone with 6 posts got sent one and you didn't.
