Virgin Media Discussion Thread

Well I've had my upgrade to 100mb, but my speeds are now worse.

Do my stats look ok?

In Surbiton we had a fault at 11AM this morning. EFT is 10AM tomorrow.

I'm moving to BT i thinks.

Is there a nationwide fault? Because I have that same fault number, time scale and description here in Belfast.

I have it too in Glenrothes. It keeps extending by a day, then when it gets to that day it goes to the next. It has been like that since last Wednesday.

Though on Friday-Sunday my internet was actually being garbage, getting 0.8Mbit down and packet loss was ~40%.

Youtube not buffering videos at 360p... not sure if its YT or my net but it's driving me mad. I can download at max speed though using newsgroups..

Edit: New video.. 720p, no... 480p... no.. 360, no... 240p NO! GRRR

IME?

Kicked the superhub and OK for now.. I also have to keep restarting it when I want to access the settings of the hub, not working -.-

Oh right... I have problems elsewhere as well though. Had problems at college on guest Wi-Fi earlier, though it has been down since last Tuesday and had just come back up..

Slow tonight!
Slow browsing, skype and mumble lagging... restarted superhub and it took forever to come back online.. Sigh.

been on the virgin media forums to ask for help regarding the really slow speed, they said "I have checked your connection and the downstream power level is too high. We will need to arrange an engineer visit to adjust the power levels.".

What does this mean? what the hell will they do? put new wires or something?

Well he is going to come on thursday, will let you guys know what happens.
