First shown as a concept in 2010, this car will become a reality:

Porsche have decided to go ahead with this hydrid drive supercar which will launch in September 2013. The price will be outrageous but then it will be something very special. So thanks to Wired we can now take an exclusive first look and ride in the prototype:

I don't know why, but I just find nothing special about any Porsche. But if the stats are true, thats rather impressive.

This car is in Need For Speed: Shift 2
I always wondered if they would ever make it and how those see through wheels work.

Is this using the Williams flywheel kers that the endurance 911 hybrid uses? Also 1678kg is lighter than expected, although still pretty beefy.

Doesn't it fall into the £35 road tax bracket or something because it can do almost the whole combined cycle kn electric power?

£1 million + Porsche supercar

and no road tax. How long before the government cotton on to the fact that revenue (in the long run) from road tax is going to disappear completely as everybody switches to hybrids and EVs.

Wonder what they will tax us on after we stop producing CO2 lol.
