Maybe not in the Invincible's season itself but in 01-02 season Ljungberg was without doubt the stand out player in the league (certainly once Pires did his cruciate) and I was really counting that Arsenal side over those 3 years![]()
fair enough

You are massively oversimplifying that aren't you? When Chelsea play against QPR, do you genuinely believe that they stick the team behind the ball and sit in their own penalty area?
If Chelsea treated and played in the semi-final in the same manner as they do a premier league match I wouldn't have been surprised to see double figures over two legs.
Very, very few sides have kept Barca from scoring in a game and they have a squad of players that can change a game single handedly in an instant. Genuinely interested as to whether you think that the current Barca squad would beat "the invincibles".
If they played 10 games what do you think the results would look like.
I would say easily 8 - 2 to Barca.
I thought you were talking directly to me so I apologise. No, everything he says is quite mental. If I was using his tact I would use the fact that United have won more games this season than "the invincibles" so therefore they must be better.
The 03-04 squad was great but I think that people are overselling it a bit, thats all.
Surely you know by now that every football thread ends up as a discussion of one of:
How does x team compare to Barcelona
Sugar daddy owners
Net spend
Luis Suarez

You've missed out:
-Utd fans calling cheets a troll
-Utd fans aruging amongst themselves

Wasnt the unbeaten run foiled but a Rooney dive? Might be wrong...
No, it was foiled by a leg breaking tackle from Sol Campbell.
