Hey folks Im thinking of getting this case but I want to know is it possible to fit Phobya Xtreme 400 Dual 200mm Radiator fit on the inside top of the case ?

I can't say this for certain, but i don't think it will fit as the spacing on the 200mm fans at the top of the HAF are relatively far apart.

That's not good news then

Im now looking at the AeroCool Strike-X ST case but dont know much about it

Can anyone recommend a case for me please

Have you not bought a case yet?

The xigmatek Elysium is worth a look.

Te HAF x can accommodate a 360 rad, I'd double check with someone whether it can take the 400mm rad too, although,a 360 and 400 are similar

Nope I havent bought a case yet. I basically know all the components I need to order but my stumbling block is the case

Can the xigmatek Elysium fit the Phobya Xtreme 400 Dual 200mm Radiator?

Thanks for helping me so far Cleeecooo, hopefully you'll hear back about the HAF X

Elysium can't natively fit it no, but with some modding I'd hazard a guess that both will be able to fit it somewhere.

The HAF with a 360 may well be better than one with a 400mm rad as fans for 360 rads are generally better than those available for the 400mm rad so in terms of cooling, they'll be the same, if not; the 360 will actually be better.

The Elysium can fit a 420 or 360 rad at the top and a 240 rad at the bottom.

No I dont. Plan was to get the case first but should I get the rad first?

no, no, i'd suggest getting them together :)

Or, decide on a case, get it, then decide on the specifics. Helps to see a case when planning a loop :)

I suggest you have a look at the HAF and Elysium as they are both good cases. The 600T is a pretty nice case too.

I don't want to force my opinion on you, so have a look in case central as many people ask similar questions, read some reviews, watch some videos to help you make your final decision.

Thing is, with the HAF X you would have to chop the top of the drive bays out to fit that radiator, also it won't fit in the existing holes you would have to drill your own. And lastly 200mm fans are pretty rubbish at cooling radiators for pc's

As Cleeecooo hinted, the sweet spot for watercooling is radiators that take 120mm fans that are designed for radiators such as the Scythe Gentle Typhoon range.

Even with 140mm radiators you are better off using adapters and 120mm fans.

Really?

I'm 99.9% certain a 360 rad fits natively but you lose the top slot for anything other than a fan controller.

Hole wise, it all fits!

Unless you were talking about that 400mm?

I was talking about the 400mm :)

Hence my second sentence where I waffle on about rads that take 120mm fans (i.e. 120/240/360/420 rads) :p
