Is my paint pearl or metallic ?

My GF has scuffed the front bumper of her 2000 plate focus and I want to get some paint to repair it (down to the plastic)

Paint code is F8, which I have discovered is panther black
however the paint definitley has a flake of some sort in it but I don't know the difference between pearl and metallic, my immediate thought was metallic but been to both the local motor factors and halfords and they both only list pearlescent panther black.
 
Put your reg/VIN into This and it should tell you on the right. Think you need to use internet explorer to have the option to enter your registration as it doesn't display on firefox.
 
My black colt was pearl, didn't make any difference over a normal metallic in terms of painting. Still just a 2 stage paint, I bet they wouldn't use a 3 stage pearl paint (hard to paint right) on an economy model like a Focus.

I rang ford in the end they do a spray paint "pack" for £18.
At least if I buy that I know I am getting a proper match, it is going to look shoddy enough as it is with me repairing it :D
