Hey chaps,

As the subject suggests, I was looking to upgrade my gainward phantom 560ti 2gb to a similar gainward phantom edition of the 670 variety.

Is this worthwhile for the extra cost? :)

Cheers in advance!

Just upgrades from the 560ti phantom 2gb to the 670 windforce and it's a big upgrade, not had much time to test it but with a few hours of playing around its defiantly worth it

Alright, so, what's the difference between the Gainward Phantom and the Windforce?

Besides the Phantom being silent (ish) of course!

Well at the moment the windforce seems to have the best combination of low temps, extremely quiet and good quality... Not seen anything about the phantom to be honest but I'm assuming it's gonna be pretty quiet... I had the kfa2 dsr it as it didn't do much to keep the temps down

The Phantom appears to use the shorter reference PCB, the Windforce uses a custom 680 PCB that also has a higher TDP limit, not having used the Phantom I can't comment all that much on it but the Windforce is a very good cooler.

I suppose the big question is: Does your 560ti still run all the games you play fast enough at the resolution/settings at which you play. If no: definitely go for the 670, big upgrade. If yes, don't bother, it is a lot of money after all!
