just go my components yesterday, built it today just installing windows as i type this...

my comp is super quiet and v cool i love it,,, one problem...i'm hearing this piercing high frequency type of noise i don't know wtf it is and i'ts driving my ears crazy, is it my GPU? (gawd i hope not)

it's brand new...wth...please tell me ther'es a fix, is it like a lottery some cards do it some don't?

i'm well sad :(

Hi, I have the 850 Pro also and it's uber quiet, even on load.
whats the spec of your system?

Intel Core i5 2500k | cnps10x extreme| corsair xms 8GB
1600 DDR3 | palit jetstream 680GTX | Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77|
ocz agility 120GB SSD & 60gb @ wd cavier 320gb |XFX XXX PRO 850W silver

it's wierd cause the noise seems to eminate from the front case fans but also....from the gpu...or even psu....it's tough to tell where it's located.

like a high pitch electronic noise a quiet noise tho

did it, no difference, dam it the sound is quite piercing

Hmm, well that's my bright idea out of the window then.

I am sure one of the guys or girls on here will have some other ideas. Sorry it didn't help. I can understand your frustration, with so many moving components, possible reasons for interference etc, it can be hard to pinpoint.

Sounds like coil whine. Could be GPU or PSU.

Or an interaction between them. The high frequency switching of the power supply can cause a coil/choke/inductor on the GPU to resonate at the same frequency and product an audible sound.

Try using a toilet roll inner to your ear, maybe that'll help you pinpoint the source. Maybe stop a fan or two to reduce system noise to help.

The solution would be an RMA or a potential warranty voiding blob of nail varnish or hot glue on the offending coil.
