Petulant cyclist smacked my wing mirror

Cyclists are my favourite...no need to pass a test before causing hazards on the road and don't pay to be on them!

Car drivers don't own the road remember and most of them will actually have driving licenses and their own private vehicles, but just ignore that ;)

Meh cyclists around here seem to think the law doesnt apply to them, always running red lights, Im not ashamed to say that under those situations I hope a nice articulated lorry is blatting down on the intersection. Ive got no issues with them being on the road but follow the rules like everyone else.

Yes, because only cyclists jump red lights. Ever.

Or speed.

Or cross solid white lines.

Or block box junctions.

Or etc, etc..

The guy sounds like a psyclepath

And you were too slow to get in reverse and drive over him?

JOKE

Just thinking about the Bristol bus driver who ran over a cyclist of the same ilk :)

Nope, motorcycle users are just as bad :)

Unfortunately there are so many uppity cyclists in Bristol you have to drive everywhere EXTRA careful because you are generally surrounded by them at all times, especially Glos Rd.

I drive only about halfway down Glos Rd everyday, and you really need eyes in the back of your head to deal with the cyclists, and eyes everywhere else to deal with the delivery trucks/buses/taxis etc. and then once you've dealt with that you can start watching the traffic in front of you!

... Due to my still crawling car he had to go past my driver side and around the back to gain access to the road. On his way he decided he'd let me know I was in the wrong by smacking my wing mirror shut with his hand. :(

The speeds involved in this situation were walking pace and the cyclist could see my car in the road before he even started to move.
Your bad driving forced him out into the traffic.

So has anybody else had run ins with crazed cyclists? (I'm not saying they are all like this by the way)
No, I am the crazed cyclist. I sort of feel sorry for drivers who have run-ins with me. I don't touch cars, at all, and never have done. People make mistakes all the time and if they've messed up and endangered me then a shake of the head is all it takes to remind a driver that there are other road users about. But deliberately put me in danger in any way whatsoever and you're coming out your car through your window when I catch up with you. Which I always do, because I live in town and there are traffic lights everywhere :)

That road is always a pain weather you are on a car, bike, can etc.

That doesn't excuse him hitting our mirror however, 2 wrongs don't make a right
This x1000. Possibly the dodgiest place I have spent any sort of time in, apart from Wolverhampton :D

It's not that bad, it has it's fair share of crazies though :p
