Hey I've just put together my new system.
i3570k,
Z77-D3H
Askaa nero 3 cooler
6gb Crucial
600w Corsair
Zalman z9
Seagate 500gb

I've checked the 4 way lead, that works.
I've checked the power switch on the motherboard.

What do I need to check? What might I be missing?

Connect a fan to the power supply and short the green wire with any black. If it turns the fan on, the supply should be fine.

Is there a power switch on the PSU? You may laugh, but I've been caught out by that before :) Are you sure the wall socket is working? Try a different mains cable as well. Once all the obvious stuff is out of the way....you've got either a dead PSU (most likely) or motherboard.

6GB of ram with a 3570K, Just how much knowledge of pc building do you have OP?

What power leads do you have connected from your psu, there should be a 24 pin and a 8 pin or 4 pin depending on your mother board.

Get us some pictures if you can as it will help a lot

the z9 case has the power button disconnected when delivered....you did plug that together at the front of the case right? It's at the top behind the front panel, i know its states this in the manual but some people skip them

Admittedly it's been 5 years since the last build I did, it's actually 8gb, no idea why I wrote 6.

I've put the 24 pin in and the 8 pin into the 4 pin socket. I'll get some pictures...

Thank you :) That's it :) Just looked at the manual again, but I can't find that bit.

It seems to work :) Now onto booting and installing Win 7.

You're welcome, lucky I was online. I did suggest the case to you and I was surprised to read it wasnt connected in the book when i first got one too.

I'd also suggest moving that fan off the side panel and mounting it at the top of the case. You might get a slight rattle if it's on the side panel and heat rises so it makes sense to have another fan at the top pushing that hot air out.
