DirectX E_OUTOFMEMORY???

Known issue with bf3. Have you tried updating your GFX drivers/reinstalling DirectX?

Also Have you disabled virtual memory and deleted your page file?

This is a known issue and it's easy to solve.

Open up Command Prompt and type "bcdedit /set increaseuserva 2500" without the quotation marks.
It should tell you the command completed successfully. Restart your PC. Enjoy.

Hello thanks for reply. Am using drivers 12.4 witch is the latest, Not looked at DirectX because most steam games download it for me.
Not disabled virtual memory and how do I delete page file? and is there any bad affects in doing so?

I been playing BF3 for months with no issues, this just happened last night, and I not tried the game again since could it just been a one off?

Thanks for this, I going to play the game again later and see how it runs, if this happens again i'll use this.
Question what does this really do lol

Thanks

What settings are you using in game? Turning AA down a notch would possibly stop this happening again if indeed it was an out of memory error. Although to be honest it could also be AMDs shady drivers. Their last few releases have been a bit wonky.

I'm using 12.3 currently and it seems to work fine, having said that I used the 'hack' I mentioned above and it worked for me and I'm using 64bit Windows 7.

If your problem still persists then give it a shot, you've nothing to lose.

Try the 12.3 drivers? The 12.4 drivers gave me hell. Apparently the 12.5 betas are very good to try as well.

I tend to stay away from betas, but from what I read 12.5 ment to be really good. If it happens again I'll try the hack posted here, if not go with 12.5.

Thanks guys

Exact opposite for me. 12.3's give me hard lock ups, 12.4 WHQL working best at the moment and 12.5 betas give me random BSOD's when games load. I had to do a system restore to stop the BSOD's from the 12.5's whatever they messed up.

Couple games of conquest before and everything was fine. Played alan wake for 1 hour also and that game stress my card hell lot more than bf3, again everything fine.
Hope it was just a one of.
