would like to know if anyone has put 4 fans onto the h100 as a push/pull config,

use the NZXT Phantom Enthusiast Full Tower Case if there is enough room to have this working with a Gigabyte SKT-AM3+ 990FXA-UD7 motherboard,

Well the rad is 27mm thick and 120mm fans are usually 25mm thick so as long as you have at least 77mm of clearance ideally with an extra mm or two so things aren't too tight.

Just give things a measure and see if it will inter fear with anything on the mobo (Mosfet heat sinks, 8pin power connector or ram slots that sort of thing). I ran push pull with a H100 with the UD5 version of your mobo in a Corsair 650D and it was fine even though there was some overhang on the pcb.

Push pull won't improve your temps significantly enough to be worth the money
I'd suggest you get good quality fans, ideally Scythe Gentle Typhoons and just have 2 in push OR pull

Your pretty much spot on, I did find a little increase in cooling with the H100 when running push pull with 4 x Noctua NF P12 fans but only 2 degrees or so.

thanks for all the help :)

and isnt 2degrees with it, if its a gaming set up and its going to be running a lot?

For two degrees certainly not. If you're actually in need of shaving every degree off then there's something wrong :p

What are the best fans for the H100 that are quiet and perform well but arent expensive like Noctua's?

I'd get the Gentle typhoons. I realise at £13 a fan they're pretty expensive, but they are worth it. They have excellent static pressure, so they push a lot of air at low RPM's :)

i recently bought the h100 and i have put the Gentle typhoons on mine they made one hell of a difference with noise obviously not pure silent but a lot better imo i got 2 on mine

it says that its 50 CFM Gentle typhoons, im sure they cant be the best, idont mind bout the noise level, but they really cant be the best fans for the H100? :S

They are regarded as being the best fan controllers for radiators because of their ability to push lots of air through the rad at low RPM's, hence being silent

They'll only be silent on a fan controller or similar :)

the case iwant to use has fan controllers, but when you turn the fan down it cant be pushing loads of air through? so it would over heat? so what's the point in turning it down, so they dont cool the rad as well as it being on a high setting?

They won't be pushing as much air, so won't be as good as when on 100%, but it shouldn't be needed on 100% unless you're doing some serious overclocking!

The H100 is a very capable cooler and Gentle typhoons at 50% power should be enough to keep even 6 core monsters with a decent OC on them cool.

You are, in this case, trading off some cooling capability for silence

thinking of overclocking an 8 core bulldozer, soo they will have to be 100% most of the time, seph under gaming,

and ah right so the gentle typhoons are deffo better than the stock H100 fans on any setting? ( low - high )

and idont mind if its gunna be nosier, as im sure that graphics card will be loud as well?

Whether it's going to be noisier than your gfx card all depends on which gfx card you have :)

Try monitoring your CPU temp for a bit, chances are the H100 will be able to manage it with Gentle Typhoons (which indeed are the best) at around 70%

if you say that the Gentle Typhoons are better than the standard fans then ill look into getting a pair of them,
and if they when running at low speed they go silent then they will be good for when watching a film and you don't need everything running cold?
