What do you think causes this? And any tips on fixing it? (Windscreen purple spots)

Just got this car off a friend (2003 Citroen C3), and I've not seen anything like this before. He says these purple spots/marks developed over the last year or so. He reckons it could be degradation of the UV layer? Not sure on that. Its a good price, I still want the car, but not sure what to do about this.

Anyway, can't be cleaned from the inside or outside, and the sun hits it, its a bit distracting.

Any ideas?

Nope, but i dont know what that means either

I dont have possession of the car yet, i'll have to google that clay method

air/water/whatever in the laminate, it's knackered and needs replacing. Shouldn't need to smash it to get a new one on insurance, it's clearly defective.

Is it an OEM screen? Usually the fitting company will have lifetime warranties on these things if it has been replaced.
