Hey guys, first thread xD

Im looking at buying a gaming system from Overclockers, the specs i chose:

- NZXT Phantom 410 Enthusiast Midi Tower Case - White
- Intel Core i7 3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) Socket 1155 Processor - Retail
- Stage 4: Overclock of CPU/Memory - 25% Overclock (Processor speed x1.25 / Max Attainable RAM Speed)
- Prolimatech Genesis Mega CPU Cooler
- Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
- Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti DirectCU II TOP 1024MB GDDR5
- Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA 6GB/s 32MB Cache
- OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black)
- Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI Sound Card with built in Headphone AMP
- OCZ ZS Series 750W PSU
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

= £1,267.09 inc VAT

I have chosen these from the system config, this may be a dumb question but its better to double check... If i buy this config through OC do they build it for me?

Anyway onto the main question.. I'm looking for a gaming monitor 21-24" for less than £200 if poss but i will stretch to £250 if it's truely impressive. I will be using this monitor for my PC and also my Xbox 360 so it will need the necessary connections. (I use HDMI for my Xbox)

I've read a lot of reviews and each review is different so i thought its best to ask you guys as you can see my specs and point to the best thing hopefully :)

I'm not particulary looking for a 3D monitor but if the best monitor comes with it that's super

I would idealy like the monitor to have a gloss finish coating.. I see Dell Monitors are V.Good but they have matted coatings which suck IMO but feel free to suggest it if you believe it's the best for me :p

Thank you in advance guys, much appreciated ^.^

I'm also eyeing the 64GB SSD as a second optional harddrive.. Would you guys recommend it to run my OS? Will it make a noticeable difference?

And for an extra £22 is it worth it upgrading the GPU to the OcUK GeForce GTX 560Ti 2048MB GDDR5 instead of the one i have already selected? Thanks again!

As a gaming system I think your spending money in the wrong places, don't get me wrong its a good spec but there is no reason a £1267 pc couldn't be running an Nvidia 670 card and that's going to run rings around a 560 regardless of the spec of the other components.

Im sure someone more helpful than me will come along in a bit with a full spec for you but it might be worth giving OcUK a ring maybe they will price you up an alternative with a few cutbacks in other areas but a 670 ( I notice its not in the configurator yet). Also yes an SSD makes a noticeable difference, the whole machine just feels snappier and game load times drop significantly.

As an Idea I would think a high end i5 with a cheaper motherboard and a 670 would get nearly double the fps of that system in games like battlefield.

Thanks for your quick response :)

I wont be just using the PC for gaming.. I run a .NET programme 24/7 (an autobuyer for FIFA) so it has to cater for these needs such as good data handling and fast processing. It doesn't take much memory to run it but the better it runs the more money i make :)

If i add the SSD as my secondary harddrive will OC set it to run my OS? I'm not totally up to date with SSD's as you may notice

Thanks

Id put the SSD as the first hard disk and the 1TB as the second on the configurator just to make it clear that that's how you want it. Also I'd consider going for a 128GB drive I have one and I've managed to use most of it!

Ok i will do, cheers.

Do you know if i order the system through OC do they build it for me?

Im trying to keep cost down so i might just go for the 64GB and then at a later stage upgrade to 128GB :)
