In what order would you ranked the following Universities (+ Lot's of Uni questions)?

Well if you tell us why you're asking, then I could give you a 'suitable' ranking.

Postgrad? Undergrad? Research? Reputation? Course quality? What are you looking for?

I would say Imperial generally.

I went to Reading (not computer science). The department didn't strike me as anything special overall.
 
Are you trying to establish what areas might be the most lucrative in future? I'd point out that past performance might not necessarily be a good indicator... No one can really predict the future but, bearing in mind this is a random suggestion from a stranger on the internet, I'd suggest perhaps combining computer science with mathematics and going for a dual honours degree. Also, if you're considering a masters degree, then something involving statistics and/or machine learning would likely make you quite employable in future. The world is getting more and more complex and as organisations rely on bigger and more complex data sets there is likely to be a greater demand for people who can deal with that data. Whether you later end up in finance, bioinformatics, marketing, etc.. etc.. there will likely be plenty of opportunities out there in many different fields for people with the right mathematical and coding skills.

Sheffield is the Uni to go to for overall experience. A city with a town feel, good nightlife if u want it and very nice accommodation if you just wana blast your Case fans all day. I only know a handful of people who have anything bad to say about Sheffield uni

What??? Manchesters residences are on oxford road or in fallowfield mainly, all perfectly fine areas.

Taking into account CS courses form what i've heard, and adding in the city itself as a partial factor

WTF? Birmingham ranked 5th while reading is in the 30s? either they've improved massively in the past two years or their robotics/cybernetics department is terrible compared to the rest of the computer science stuff. on my visit day it was pretty poor tbh. yes they had lots of computers, but the projects they were doing were unbelievably dull

The Guardian one mainly goes by student quality, percieved course quality etc. The Times one considers other typical university attributes (in addition to student satisfaction) such as research quality.

These tables are only an indicator and useful for undergraduate studies mainly. You should go to what appeals to you and 'feels right'. As long as it isn't a 'University' of Grimsby or somewhere else equally as odd, should be fine :D.

I would add, from my personal experience, the town of Reading is quite boring. London is only 25mins away however. In retrospect, I think I should have gone to Manchester, but nevermind!
 
Most of my course did, including myself.

I had a guaranteed well paying job, regardless of grade. Really took the stress of final year away.

Was it because you liked the University the most during the open day? This was a major factor deciding which unis I'd put first and second preference because you get a feel of the uni as a whole.

Was it the Course? Kind of. Not a deciding factor, but if the department/course modules looked shoddy/boring then I avoided.

Was it because the University offer a placement? Not really, would have been good to have been offered placement along with doing a masters but wasn't a major factor.

The campus feel? Tying in with the open day but yes, biggest deciding factor for me, but speaking from where I am now, I would say don't make it a major factor if everything else is great. Why? I really wanted to go to Southampton and researched lots about it, the accommodation, societies, etc, and was really looking forward to it. Long story short, missed going to Soton by 1 mark, and went to Bristol but I really didn't want to go to a city uni (I put it second because of the course/department), and wasn't as excited about it as Soton, as the start of uni got closer. However a few weeks into uni and it's amazing. I wouldn't swap going to Soton now that I have lived here. Great city and course.

The quality of accommodation? Didn't bother me too much, as long as it was decent enough to live in and that there were self-catered rooms.

The location? Close to home etc? As long as I was not living at home it didn't matter to me. I.e, no London uni as I didn't want to commute and I don't particularly like going into London anyway. A big oart of the uni experience is about living away from home and living by yourself. It wouldn't have been the same if I had to live at home.
