Hi all

Think ive decided on a CamelBak; probabally either Mule or a Mule NV
but im not really sure, maybe theres a better alternative for me?

What will I be doing ?

I will be using mainly for XC cycling (not winter rideing) and walking in the likes of the Peak District (a full day)

Im pretty sure the Mule NV has a waterproof cover which is a must for my walking, not sure if the ordinary Mule has one

or is there a better alternative?

i've got the mule nv. its one of the best bike related purchases i've ever made. the cover comes off so its easy to clean. without it the pack would be in a sorry state by now with all the crud that gets flung up off the trail onto my back. theres plenty of storage space for pump, tubes, tools, maps etc.

though it is the only hydration pack i've owned. so maybe i'm a little biased.

My thoughts exactly on a rain cover, worth putting one on even in sunny weather conditions!!

noticed that you can buy a cover seperatly, so if the mule doesent come with one, then the NV becomes a better purchase

I have the mule. It doesn't come with the cover. I'm on my 2nd one as some of the stitching snapped after a few months :(, but it was covered under warranty :).
