Where would the front fan be placed best?

The H80 is exhausting air as I'll be getting a GPU soon and don't want it putting hot air in the case. The roof fan and front middle fan are both intake fans.

Would the middle front fan be best at the middle front or lower front?

Thanks (:

leave the front fan where it is as an intake
flip the roof fan so it is expelling hot air from the case
leave the H80 expelling hot air also.

That'll be the standard setup ideally I think.

If I have the roof fan exhausting air, wouldn't that leave less cool air for the H80 to pull?

It seems to me the roof fan would intake cool air, which the H80 could pull through the radiator.

But if I made it exhaust air, there would be less air for the H80 to pull through?

Really? Less air? If you have 20 exhaust fans and only 1 intake there isn't less air inside the case, air is simply pulled through the intake at a higher rate.

Hot air rises, have your HDD fans intaking and your rear and roof exhausting.

So the H80 will definitely have COOLER air to pull/push through the radiator if the roof fan is exhausting the air within the case instead of inputting cool air into it?

The H80 will probably stay the same, temperature wise. However your overall case temperature will fall with proper airflow, and therefore be beneficial if you plan to add a high end GPU.

So in terms of cooling the CPU

is NO better than this

but when I get a GPU, the 2nd will give me better GPU temps?

That's my standard case setup (Carbide 500R). And that's hat most manufacturers do. Don't know if it improves things, but the hard drives could use direct air blowing over them. Well, you can always use some temp software to check on their temps.

You can always try, although it's a bit of messing about with cabling. Probably only a few degrees in though.

It depends on the layout of the case. For you, air from a second front intake would be partially obstructed by the Hard Drive and cables, and whilst still effective, probably wouldn't provide a better ambient temperature than you would have if you were to leave the fan on the roof.

Shuffle your fans around and monitor the component temperatures if you want to be 100% sure.

If 2 front intake fans and not 1 front intake and 1 roof fan is what most manufacturers I guess that may be the best option.

You need at least as much cfm intake as exhaust... most prefer more in then exhaust with filters on intakes. If 2 exhausts and one intake means exhaust want more air then intake can supply... they compete with each other for available air.

IMO add another front intake and clean up wiring so you can also add a bottom intake
