Not if you're likely to spend £50 a month using the device, like the guy earlier in the thread who got a £270 bill one month because he massively exceeded his data allowance.
100minutes is quite pittiful though, I don't use voice calling a lot but when I do the conversations are with someone I want to spend time talking to and can last 45mins give or take so over the course of a month that racks up 
250MB is also rather bare, have you monitored what your network data usage is? When you're not at a WiFi point your phone will still pull down data along with other stuff you do in the foreground so that 250 might get consumed rather easily especially on HSPA.
I suppose the 250 texts is a non issue though what with Whatsapp/GoogleTalk etc.

I'm sure some could manage on that plan but I would need at least 150 more min and 300 more text and 2gb more data, 3 min of calls to another network out of plan equals £1, 500mb of data over a fiver and each text costing 10/12p I say get a better plan to start with.
Especially as you're handing over £300 to get the phone you might as well buy outright and put a GG sim in!!!
I hardly do any data stuff with my Ace yet if I put a tenner 3 payg in the data always runs out after about 10 days iirc you get 150/250mb, I don't bother with a data guard because I don't use it for data and also because I mostly put £15 on and get unltd.

That's what I was thinking, ideally get it on Pay As You Go, last year O2 had the SGS2 for £400 but this year they have this preorder thing and it basically getting similar to Iphone pricing.
Never paid over £100 for an upgrade on 12/18 months contract but on the SGS3 it is not possible.

I've got a k800i for sale if you're interested, it does calls and texts and I've got tetris on it so you'll never be bored on a journey.

I'm not getting at you but why the S3 on a **** plan when your budget clearly allows you a pretty decent phone on a good plan, ie buy an S2 for cash and put a 3 or GG sim in or no cash outlay and get the S3 on one plan with 3.
Imho the S3 is all about data and the free enjoyment of its use.
