I had a nokia 3210 about 12 years, While I liked the ability to play snake on the move I was unimpressed with people contacting me all the time and getting text messages. I just didnt see what the fascination was and I am amazed that over 10 years later it still seems to be popular with people.

So do you think mobile phones are a fad
and
when do you think the fad will die down

Yeah the abilty to be able to call an ambulance when I rolled a car out in the sticks with no one else around is cetainly something I'll grow bored of. Also, maybe you should try becoming unpopular, then people won't want to contact you.

Yeah, probably just a fad.

Yeah, I think they're a fad.

However, I can't wait for my Galaxy S3 to arrive to I can carry on getting sick and tired of people trying to contact me.

What were you expecting to happen when you bought a phone and gave out your number, do you have the same problem with your house phone? Or is it the fact that they work outside of your home that really frustrates you?

I had the internet about 12 years. Whilst I liked the ability to play snake online, I was unimpressed at people contacting me and getting emails. I just didn't see what the fascination was and I am amazed that over 10 years later it still seems to be popular with people.

So do you think the internet is a fad and when do you think the fad will die down?

Its easy to ignore emails, with text messages you are constantly reminded that you have an unread one via an envelope icon on the screen.

When that bloke pulled out on me & I crashed my bike into his wing after I had flown through the air & hotched myself to the pavement I did 2 things,
First I abused the driver verbally. :D
Second I rang the Doris so she'd pop in to look after my Frank staffy dog. :p

Answer to OP - No.

I had a car about 12 years. Whilst I liked the ability to drive around, I was unimpressed at people using their car's to come and see me. I just didn't see what the fascination was and I am amazed that over 10 years later it still seems to be popular with people.

The sincere answer: No. I don't believe they are a fad. Generally speaking most people like social interaction (This isn't a slight on you). Honestly think the post was a troll post.
