How did your username come about?

I do enjoy when these threads come around, especially when it's accompanied by the pronunciation.

Mine was a uni nickname from when a mate put the first syllable of my name in front of "rij" to make it rhyme with beverage (back when I still drank) and it stuck.

So that's Dev-ridge, not Devrill or Devraiy It's a J not an L, and I'm not dutch.
 
Oh yeah I have no idea how mine's supposed to be pronounced really. I initially thought it was meant to be "zeefn" but it has somehow changed to "Zeh-fan" over time :confused:

Oh well, I'll survive.

I know people probably think I had a nasty pant accident but it's not that. When I was at school if you were getting annoyed (usually when people were taking the mickey out of you) you were said to be skidding and labelled a skidder. I used it on a school message board and then continued to use it for games and stuff.

Hah! How old are you then? :p When I was in school skidding meant two things:

> Skidding on your bike.
> Brown stain moment!
 
Its one of my favourite colours backwards. I figured Knip sounded better than Der :D
